CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name: John Egbert (OU)
Age: 13 (barring timeshenanigans)
Subject taught: Only applies to characters over the age of 18.
Canon: CANON
Canon point: Current point in canon (Being on the ship with Jade post-scratch and traveling to the new session)

Personality:
John Egbert is your average kid. He has his various interests like bad movies and programming, has friends that he speaks to on the internet, and is a pretty friendly guy to talk to. He's also oblivious to some things and seems like he's not as smart as he is. The reason for this, however, is that his smarts come in a more clever and creative form than an obvious one. He isn't the smartest of his group of friends, but he's definitely the most clever! He loves a good prank or two every so often, and likes looking back on his previous gambits.

He's a goofball, and makes bad jokes, but tends to not miss a beat when his friends point this out. Some could also call him a bit of a dork. Re-enacting the bunny scene from Con Air can give some people that impression, among doing other stupid shit. Because of the pranks and jokes, he tends to keep a chest full of prankster items and sometimes uses them to (laughably) bad effect. Though he's clever and creative, he is more likely to follow stupid ideas than his friends are, simply because he doesn't think far beyond the basics when it comes to these. And because of this, he's made out to be the butt of jokes a lot of times, much to his chagrin. He's very trusting of people, even after knowing them for a very short time (such as with his conversations with the trolls Terezi and Vriska) and it tends to get him into trouble.

But John's a good guy at heart, no matter how bad a prank he may play on his friends. He's not up to pulling any pranks that would hurt anyone. And really the reason he pulls pranks on Dave Strider is to get him to not be so stuck up all the time. Honestly. This could also apply to Rose Lalonde even though he doesn't think she's really 'stuck up.' He cares for his friends, no matter what happens. He's always willing to listen when his friends really need him, and he's no stranger to giving at least some advice or asking for some. His friends are his motivations when it comes to the things he does, no matter what it may seem like. After all, he did go against the troll Terezi's directions when Dave told him not to do it because it'd get him killed; even though he would get to ride in a totally sweet rocket and skip the entire game of Sburb, he eventually reconsidered what he was doing.

When he gets angry, he tends to let the anger get the best of him for a while and not listen to anyone. But very little can make him that angry, unless his friends have just been killed or something else very upsetting has happened. He also expresses massive worry over Rose when he realizes that her mission to destroy the Green Sun will likely kill her as well. Otherwise he's pretty cool and collected. He gets excited over the littlest things sometimes, but really he'd much rather be happy than angry! Besides, he tends to bounce right back from being even the angriest person ever like it was nothing.

Ever since he got into the Medium, however, John began taking a more serious side, realizing that the fate of his own universe and the universe they create is in his hands, as well as his friends' hands. He didn't show it as often as he felt it, but he began playing by the game's rules and started being clever with figuring out ways past the game's obstacles. He also got deadly serious when it came to finding out his dad's death and trying to face off against Jack Noir after he found Rose, but not much is known about how he really feels about it quite yet. He also listened to the others talk about The Tumor and the Green Sun, although he liked to be silly and refer to them the same way Rose did - in color and flashing letters. He was both being serious and silly about the entire situation up until he realized what it might really do.

Overall, John's a derpy but inventive kid that easily makes friends (but can be too trusting), cares for the friends that he makes and wants to help them, and likes to do stupid stuff for shits and giggles. And let's face it, a good prank or two every now and then never hurt anyone!

Weapon:
Name: Warhammer of Zillyhoo

Form: Hammerkind (A large hammer, looking like this) It should be noted that it's quite big; requiring some expertise in melee weaponry to wield correctly.

Upgrades:
  • Wind Upgrade
  • Clear Mind
  • Flight
  • Windstorm (A burst of wind shoots out from the wielding Player, making it difficult for the opponent to land any melee or physical ranged hits for a minute. Any successful attacks by the wielding Player causes the opponent to succumb to the wind and get blown back.)
  • Jetstream

Lost memories:
  • 1 How to play piano.
  • 2 When his birthday is.
  • 3 What he named the bunny he got from Dave.
  • 4 How to program (though he was SO BAD at it)
  • 5 Sburb title.
  • 6 His two pesterchum handles.
  • 7 What gushers taste like.
  • 8 That his dad is dead.
  • 9 The applejuice prank/joke he pulled on Dave.
  • 10 The plot of Con Air.

It so happens John's having a dream. And it's likely that someone else is in there having the same dream.

It's a simple dream, really. John's just re-enacting one of those scenes from Con Air with the bunny. LIKE KARKAT SAW THAT ONE TIME What's he giving the bunny to? Probably you, or just putting it on the bed. He's just being weird.
